*In which grade are you teaching and which subject are you teaching?
I am teaching English in 7th grade.
* why did you decide to work in CCB?
Well, I truly believe that teaching at CCB has been a great opportunity that life gave me a couple of months ago.
I was completing an internship abroad, and then one day, I got an email from the School. I got really excited because I knew that CCB was one of the most prestigious Schools in Envigado. The next thing I did was to google it and get to know more about it. When I read about the School values, culture, and philosophy I thought to myself ‘I belong in a place like that, it matches my beliefs not only as a professional but as a person’.
I also had the honor to meet two fantastic teachers who used to work at CCB and they always mentioned positive experiences. After all that process, I realized that I absolutely wanted to be part of the CCB family.
* How do you feel as a new teacher?
To be honest, it has been an enriching experience because I have had the chance to meet wonderful people here; my students have been very kind to me, my colleagues have helped and supported me since Day 1, and the community in general has been very special and warm. It really feels like home. I would say that it all motivates me to do my best every day.
* What is the thing do you like the most about the school?
This is a question I get asked very often and I can never mention only one…everything at school has been great.
One of things that impressed me at first, was the way in which people interacted with one another; everyone’s very kind and helpful all the time (I really like that). I also enjoy working with my great colleagues who are actually passionate about their classroom and students (just like me). They are one in a dozen, and fortunately, I have been lucky enough to be part of that team. And last but not least, my dear students; I deeply love interacting with them, I like the fact that I am always learning from them, and I appreciate that feeling when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives. That is definitely rewarding and inspiring to me.
* What do you expect from your students?
As a teacher, what I would appreciate from my students is a curious mind and a willingness to try something different. I always try to plan very dynamic classes with things that they would enjoy, and I just want them to keep in mind that it gets even funnier when they are engaged and interested. I also want them to respect each other, to be critical thinkers and to believe more in themselves and in all the skills and abilities they have.
* Is there anything that you want to say to the community?
First of all, I would like to thank you for everything you have given me, for the knowledge, experience, unconditional support, laughter, advices, and opportunities. I will always keep in my mind and heart all the memories that we have made up to this moment. I hope to be part of this beautiful family for a long time to come.
